Foreign Ministry follows up on Jordanians in Israeli prisons

Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Sunday confirmed that it constantly follow up on the conditions of Jordanian citizens in Israeli prisons.

In a press statement, the ministry's spokesperson Dhaifallah Fayez said that the Kingdom's embassy in Tel Aviv has conducted visits few days ago to Jordanian citizens in Israeli jails; Muhammad Mahdi Suleiman, Abdullah Abu Jaber, Muhammad Musleh, Munir Marei and Anas Hanthawi, to check on their affairs, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the coming days, the embassy will visit the rest of the Jordanians imprisoned in Israel, he added, stressing that it is in contact with the relevant Israeli authorities to check on the citizens conditions.

"The issue of Jordanian detainees abroad, including those in Israeli prisons, is the ministry's top priority to continuously follows up on their affairs and provide them with all possible legal and consular assistance in order to preserve their legal rights," he stressed.
