Ammon News -

Finance Minister Muhammad Al-Ississ will Sunday morning outline the 2021 draft state budget to the Lower House before lawmakers embark on a marathon debate of the bill.

The government sent the draft state budget and the budgets of independent government units to the parliament earlier this month after the cabinet endorsed them in late December.

A number of bills from the government are on the legislature's agenda, mainly ratification of treaties, including extradition of criminals between Jordan and Ukraine and a partnership agreement between Jordan and Britain and Northern Ireland, with a request that the latter be given urgency.

A set of other draft laws and amendments are also up for discussion in this session, including those relating to the Jordan Dental Association, combatting money laundering and financing of terrorism, the Amman Municipality bill, restructuring of government institutions and entities and the integrity and anti-corruption bill, among others.
