The source said that the army personnel applied the rules of engagement, leading to the arrest of a number of the suspects, where they were referred to the relevant security authorities. The source stressed that the Armed Forces will apply full force to thwart any infiltration or smuggling attempts to protect the Kingdom's borders and prevent anyone tries to tamper with Jordan's national security.

Troops in the Eastern Military Zone, on Friday, foiled an attempt by individuals to infiltrate Syria from the Kingdom, an official military source in the General Com of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army said.

The source said that the army personnel applied the rules of engagement, leading to the arrest of a number of the suspects, where they were referred to the relevant security authorities.

The source stressed that the Armed Forces will apply full force to thwart any infiltration or smuggling attempts to protect the Kingdom's borders and prevent anyone tries to tamper with Jordan's national security.
