The cold air mass that gripped the Kingdom, yesterday, would continue to affect the country during the weekend, as a chance of rainfall will remain until the afternoon hours, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said on Friday.

Pleasant weather conditions are forecast in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and the port city of Aqaba.

The department added that winds will be southwesterly moderate, picking up at times.

It warned of low-visibility due to fog formation, and of slippery roads, urging the public to avoid areas where torrents form, especially in valleys and low-lying regions.

Temperatures in the capital Amman will range between 13 degrees Celsius and 5 degrees.

Highs in the port city of Aqaba will hike up to 23 degrees, sliding to 14 at night.
