Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, and his Omani counterpart, Badr Al Busaidi, discussed prospects for increasing bilateral cooperation and coordination on regional issues in a way that serves joint interests and reflects "positively" on efforts to resolve regional crises and achieve security and stability.
During a phone conversation held on Thursday, the duo stressed the two countries' keenness to find "broader" horizons for cooperation in all fields to strengthen their "historic" relations.
Reviewing regional developments, the two ministers stressed the necessity of reaching joint Arab visions to deal with challenges in a way that serves pan-Arab interests and issues and enhances security and stability.
Moreover, the two ministers stressed the importance of strengthening joint Arab action to serve Arab issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, and efforts to solve it in a way that fulfills all the rights of the Palestinian people on the basis of the two-state solution in accordance with international law and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The two ministers affirmed continued consultations and coordination on all regional challenges to discuss "practical" mechanisms to expand cooperation in various fields.
