Ammon News - Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Maha Ali, announced a plan to reopen economic sectors and establishments, noting that sectors will be opened in three packages.
"The Ministry, in cooperation with a number of supervisory authorities, will continue to tighten supervision during the next stage to adhere to health conditions and protocols to protect citizens from the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) and to maintain the stability of the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom," Ali said in press conference held Wednesday evening at the Prime Ministry.
She added that the ministry has adopted in its plan to open sectors in coordination with the Health Ministry in order to mitigate the economic impacts on businesses resulting from the lockdown, noting that the opening of sectors through the first package will be on January 15, under which blanket lockdowns on Fridays will be halted, and outdoor swimming pools and shops in public parks and equestrian clubs will opened.
She said that the opening of sectors covered by the second package will be on February 1, as fitness centers, public swimming pools, sports academies and swimming pools in hotels will be opened.
She explained that opening of sectors included in the third package will be on March 1, which include cinemas, billiards centers, amusement parks, children's playgrounds, exhibition and conference sectors.
The minister emphasized that the stages of opening sectors will be accompanied by strict measures to maintain the stability of the epidemiological situation.
