International oil derivatives prices rise in 1st week of January

Ammon News - The prices of oil derivatives in global markets have risen in the first week of January, according to data released on Monday by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The ministry's figures showed that the price of 90-octane gasoline went up by 9 percent, going from $443.8 per ton in December to $483.9, while the price of 95-octane gasoline rose from $455.3 per ton to $495.3, an increase of 8.8 percent.

Diesel prices also increased by 4.5 percent going from $412.1 per ton to $430.7, while the prices of kerosene rose by 5.6 percent, from $423.1 to $446.8 per ton.

The prices of liquefied gas for January picked up 16.9, going from $457.5 to $535 per ton.

Benchmark Brent crude prices rose in the first week of the current month, from $49.8 to $53.3 per barrel.
