The new infections comprised 593 cases in the capital Amman, 187 in Irbid, including 26 in the northern border district of Ramtha, 144 in Balqa, 66 in Ajloun, 65 in Mafraq, 51 in Zarqa, 47 in Jerash, 45 in Madaba, 39 in Karak, 21 in Tafila, 12 in Aqaba, and 10 in Ma'an , of which 4 in southern Petra district, according to the media statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health. The number of patients who were admitted to hospitals today stood at 59, while 72 cases have recovered and discharged, the statement added. According to the brief, the cumulative number of recoveries recorded Sunday, whether at hospitals or home, stood at 1,802, bringing the total to 288,785 since the outbreak began. Moreover, the number of patients still receiving treatment at hospitals has reached 528, including 93 on ventilators. The statement also indicated that the number of confirmed and suspected cases on ICU beds has reached 203, or 21% of the total ICU bed capacity. With regard to testing, 24,560 tests were conducted Sunday, 5.09 percent of which were positive. The total number of tests administered since March has increased to 3,411,667, the joint statement noted.
