Minister of Transport, Marwan Khaitan, said Oman has allowed entry of stranded Jordanian trucks after the transport, foreign affairs ministries contacted the Omani authorities to lift the trucking restrictions.
In a press statement to "Petra" on Thursday, he said the Omani authorities took a decision that would remove the restrictions imposed on Jordanian trucks, allow their entry to the Arab Gulf nation and reach their final destination on the return trip.
The minister said the two countries had already signed several transport agreements covering all types of land, sea and air transport.
Lauding the "deep-rooted, strong, and distinguished" bilateral relations, he thanked the Omani authorities for the "quick" response to end suffering of the Jordanian freighters.
