Ammon News - Israeli occupation troops arrested 17 Palestinians Tuesday during raids of West Bank cities, and clashed with youth near Hebron, who were protesting demolitions near a Jewish settlement.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said soldiers fired tear gas and rubber-coated metal pellets during clashes that broke out east of Yetta village, near Hebron, to protest demolition of structures in an area adjacent to a Jewish settlement that was built on their land. It said dozens suffered breathing problems and others were beaten up by the army.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club said Israeli forces carried out search and arrest raids in the cities of Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah and El Bireh and rounded up 17 people for anti-Israeli activities.
Palestinian sources also said Jewish settlers fenced off Palestinian-owned land and pastures in the Northern Jordan Valley in the West Bank.
