Second field military hospital in Irbid to start patient admissions today

The second field military hospital in Irbid has started covid-19 patient admissions on Tuesday. The hospital aims at enhancing the capacity of Jordanian hospitals and supporting the the government efforts in fighting the pandemic of covid-19.


The Jordanian Royal Medical Services chief, Dr Adel Alwahadneh said that the hospital is equipped with all necessary equipment and devices to treat the patients infected with covid-19.

The hospital will serve military forces and police officers and their families as well as the citizens of Irbid governate, Alwahadneh added.


It is indicated that another field hospital will be inaugurated in the coming days which aims to develop the capacity to fight the pandemic. The capacity of the three field hospital will reach 900 hospital beds where 200 beds are used for intensive care.
