Ammon News - Minister of Labor and Minister of State for Investment Affairs, Maen Qatamin, said the Labor Ministry is keen on communicating and initiating dialogue with the agricultural sector.

In a meeting with the agricultural sector's Partnership Council, called on activating the council to overcome obstacles facing the sector as per Royal directives, noting that this sector is a key pillars to the national economy and contributes to achieving food security for the Kingdom.

In the meeting, attended by the agricultural sector's representative and stakeholders, Qatamin added that the ministry had studied all matrices that were presented to it and that it had requested during the past weeks from the agricultural sector, in order to overcome obstacles and challenges facing it.

He pointed out that the ministry follows the partnership approach with various sectors, including the agricultural sector, by listening to various points of view and examining proposals presented with the aim of supporting the sector, especially in light of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The meeting concluded with a set of measures, to be announced soon, that will help the sector overcome the challenges in the coming period.
