Jordan has recorded 22 COVID-19 related deaths and 1,708 new infections, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 271,514, a statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Health Ministry said on Friday.
The new cases include 522 in Amman, 662 in Irbid, 150 in Zarqa, 101 in Mafraq, 54 in Madaba, 50 in Balqa, 48 in Jerash, 48 in Karak, 36 in Ajloun, 19 in Tafilah, 16 in Ma'an, and two in Aqaba.
A total of 137 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 153 have been discharged upon recovery.
The epidemiological investigation teams conducted 17,735 tests, about 10 percent of which came back positive, as the total number of tests reaches 2,933,001 million.
