Ammon News - Security forces arrested two drivers involved in hit-and-run accidents in Amman in the last two days that left a teenager dead and injured a foreign worker who is hospitalized and is in a fair condition.

The Public Security Directorates' media spokesperson said Tuesday that Criminal Investigation officers had gathered information and managed to identify and impound the vehicles "in a record time", and that the drivers had confessed to the run-over accidents.

The spokesman said that the traffic police investigators can promptly deal with such cases, noting the stiff penalty by law against drivers who flee the scene of an accident, urging motorists to heed legal procedures and offer aid and assistance to the victims.
