3.9 magnitude earthquake hits Aqaba Tuesday morning

An earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale at a depth of 12km was recorded in the city of Aqaba on Tuesday, the Jordan Seismological Observatory said.

The earthquake, reported at 4:30am, hit the northeastern area of the city and was felt by its residents, according to an observatory statement.
