The State Security Court (SSC) Wednesday handed down multiple prison terms to a number of convicts in various robbery, firearms trade, narcotics and terrorism cases.
In a public session held today, the court sentenced a number of persons to prison terms ranging from 3 to 7 years with temporary hard labor after they were found guilty of threatening to carry out terrorist acts, promoting the ideology of a terrorist group and joining terrorist organizations.
The court also sentenced another group of persons to various prison terms ranging from 3 to 15 years with temporary hard labor after they were convicted of illegally exporting automatic firearms and possessing and manufacturing incendiary materials with the intent to use them illegally.
In another case, the SSC gave three people prison terms ranging from 7 to 15 year with temporary hard labor after the court found them guilty of forming a ring with the intent of assaulting people and property and committing robbery.
In the last case, the court handed down prison terms ranging from 12 to 15 years with temporary hard labor after they were convicted of importing narcotics which they intended to sell.
