16-11-2020 12:55 PM

Ammon News - Assistant Secretary-General for health care, Dr. Ghazi Sharkas, said that COVID-19 will be free of charge only through the Ministry of health indicating that the ministry has pre-reserved vaccines that are enough to nearly 15% of the population, and it attempts to obtain additional 5%.

The priority will be for medical staff who deals with the infection cases directly and then for elderly people and those who suffer from chronic diseases. He added.

Sharkas stated that the first batch of vaccine will reach Jordan by the beginning of 2021 stressing that the only vaccine at the present time is wearing face masks.

He added, the number of COVID-19 recovery cases due to home isolation (self-isolation) is high and this will be announced at the conference press that will be held by the Minister of health today.
