Ammon News -

Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Tuesday said he was "honored to fulfil a national duty and a constitutional right" after he cast his vote in the Kingdom’s 19th parliamentary elections in his hometown of Eidon in Irbid, north.

"Like many sons of our dear country who are entitled to vote, I participated in this constitutional duty and the national means which expresses the continuous building process that our wise Hashemite leadership wants," Khasawneh told reporters after voting.

The prime minister commended the Independent Election Commission for its management of the electoral process and commitment to ensuring that health safety protocols are adhered to by voters and election officials.

Khasawneh expressed hope that today’s elections will produce a parliament that meets the aspirations of the citizens and His Majesty the King.
