Jordan on Sunday will be gradually affected by unstable weather conditions, bringing partly cloudy skies with scattered showers in various parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily report.
In the evening, rainfall is expected to be heavy accompanied by thunder and hail at times, while winds will be easterly moderate to brisk, causing dust in the Badia regions, the JMD added.
The weather department also warned of slippery roads in the areas experiencing rain, floods formation in valleys and lowlands, as well as poor visibility due to fog and dust, particularly in the highlands and the Badia regions.
A slight rise in mercury levels is forecast on Monday. Therefore, it will be fair nationwide until Tuesday, with the appearance of clouds at different altitudes and a weak chance of light showers in the Kingdom's northern and eastern areas, the JMD noted.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 22 degrees Celsius in Amman, 19 in the northern cities and in the southern highlands, dropping down at night to 14, 11 and 9C respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 29 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 19 degrees at night.
