Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Independent Election Commission (IEC) Board of Commissioners Sunday decided to ban the use of electoral campaign headquarters, reversing a previous decision that allows for the conditioned use of such premises.
The move, which comes 9 days from the parliamentary elections slated for November 10th, was taken after violations to health safety protocols, namely illegal and crowded gatherings, were registered in a number of areas across the Kingdom.
The IEC had referred 26 candidates to local governors, or security agencies, or the Public Prosecutor after violating the conditions of using electoral campaign headquarters and failure to adhere to public safety measures and defense orders.
