Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - President of the Senate Faisal al-Fayez on Sunday met with U.S. Ambassador in Amman Henry Wooster and discussed with him Jordanian-U.S. ties, the latest developments in the Middle East and a number of issues of common concern.

Al-Fayez underlined the strategic relations between the Kingdom and the United States and called for advancing bilateral economic cooperation to serve the interests of both nations. The meeting also underscored the need to ramp up efforts to bring about peace and stability in the Middle East.

The Senate president emphasized Jordan's call for a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and said this formula is the guarantee to reestablish security and stability in the region.
