Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Ministry of Health announced 928 new Covid-19 cases, including 923 local infections, were recorded in the Kingdom, bringing the total caseload to 24926.
According to the media statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health, 10 virus-related fatalities were also recorded, bringing the death toll since the start of the pandemic to 191.
Of the new domestic cases, 614 infections were registered in the capital Amman governorate, 89 in Balqa, 71 in Irbid, 71 in Zarqa, 49 in Ajloun, 14 in Jerash, and 6 in Madaba, 6 in Tafila, 2 in Ma'an, and 1 in Karak, according to the joint statement.
Meanwhile, 5 imported cases were recorded- 4 involve arrivals coming from outside the Kingdom, and 1 relates to a Jordanian truck driver coming through the Omari Border Crossing, said the statement.
As for recovery, 56 patients have left approved hospitals nationwide, it noted.
17,505 laboratory tests were administered, bringing the cumulative count conducted since the start of the pandemic until now to 1417,257, according to the statement.
The Ministry called on the public, in light of the continued uptick in local cases, to adhere to defense orders, follow safety and prevention measures, wear face masks, and avoid hold gatherings exceeding 20 people, and use the "Aman" and "Your Health" apps.
