Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan imported a total of 261,000 barrels of Iraqi crude oil in July at an average of 8,400 barrels per day, according to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
In a statement on Tuesday, Minister Hala Zawati said that 888 Iraqi tanker trucks were unloaded on the border (back-to-back) in line with government procedures to curb the spread of the COVID-19.
She stated that a total of 2.705 million barrels of Iraqi crude oil were supplied to the Kingdom during August 31, 2019, to July 31, 2020.
Jordan purchases Iraqi oil under a memorandum of understanding signed in February 2019.
