Fair weather prevails in eve of a dry air mass

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Mercury is forecast to hover around seasonal average, as regular summer is forecast to prevail in highlands, plains, and hot tipped for the other areas, with northwest to moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
On Sunday and Monday, the Kingdom is is predicted to be under a scorcher set to soar the mercury level "noticeably" above the normal rates by about 5-6C degrees, according to the JMD data.
Accordingly, the weather turns sizzling in the mountainous areas and scorching in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with scattered high clouds seen in the Kingdom's southern and eastern regions, added the JMD.
Today in Amman, the max mercury will hit 33C, sliding to 21C in the night hours, while in the northern highlands will see a milder average of 29C to 17C.
In the the Dead Sea and Gulf of Aqaba, temps will hit a scorching 39C, 40C, respectively during daytime, sliding to a fair 29C, 28C, at the night.
