Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The head of the epidemiological monitoring department / head of investigation teams in the Irbid Governorate,Dr. Ali Zetawi, announced that no Covid-19 cases were recorded on Thursday, at the Irbid governorate's level.

In a press statement to "Petra," he said all samples' results, which have emerged until this evening, have come back negative, adding the rest, collected by the survey teams, on Wednesday will be announced during the coming hours.

The epidemiological investigation teams will continue carrying out their operations, on a larger scale on Friday, as a lockdown will be in place, he pointed out.

Zetawi stressed the importance of adhering to social distancing measures and abandoning many habits and practices that citizens are accustomed to in the holy month of Ramadan.

The health official also urged citizens to wear face masks and use sterilizers to support plans and efforts to make the pandemic containment stage successful at the national level, which requires concerted efforts and cooperation.
