354 vehicles seized, 802 arrested for violating curfew

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A total of 354 vehicles were impounded and 802 persons were detained in the past 24 hours, for violating the curfew imposed to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus epidemic, the Public Security Department's (PSD) spokesperson said on Tuesday.
"The impounded vehicles will be transferred to the designated holding yards in Swaqa and Muwaqqar, and the vehicles’ owners will incur all the due costs upon retrieving them after one month," the spokesperson stated.

"All security personnel in patrols and checkpoints are working around the clock to control violations against the orders issued under the Defense Law," he added, stressing that orders are being implemented without compromise or discrimination.
