Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Temperatures on Monday will be 5-7 degrees above their annual average, so spring-like and warm weather conditions are expected to prevail in the hilly areas, while it will be relatively hot in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Chances for intermittent rain are also expected, mainly in the southern and eastern regions, accompanied by thunder at times. Winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the Badia, the JMD added.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 30 degrees Celsius in Amman, 26 degrees in the northern cities and 25 degrees in the southern governorates, dropping down to 16, 13 and 11 respectively at night. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 35 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 23.
Relatively hot conditions will remain over the next two days in most regions of the country, while it will be warm in the mountainous areas, with clouds at high and medium altitudes and southeasterly to southwesterly moderate to brisk winds, stirring dust at times, the Department predicted.
