Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Tariq Hammouri, said the strategic stock of goods and food is sufficient and safe, and the cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army continues through the physical inspection on the stock.

Hammouri told a daily press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management on Sunday that a Ramadan plan has been devised, and the opening of economic sectors will be evaluated as the epidemiological situation evolves positively or negatively.

The Industry and Trade Minister announced that a number of sectors will be opened on Tuesday, as of 10am until 6pm, with 30 percent of facilities' workforce (10 workers or more), whereas facilities with less than 10 workers are allowed to have three workers.

These facilities include tire fitters, mechanics, computers sale and maintenance, mobile phones, jewelry and clothing shops, hardware stores and home furniture via delivery, libraries, stethoscopes, optics, lenses, electrical and electronics stores, the art sector, TV production, renewable energy companies, printing tools, printing presses, studies and research centers, newspapers and coffee shops.

With regard to the industrial sector that was not fully opened, Hammouri said the rate will be up by 20-30 percent for each shift, so that both shifts reach 60 percent, provided that the facility is registered with social security, prioritize Jordanian labor, use e-payment and to adhere to health and medical procedures, stressing that facilities that do not comply with health conditions will be shut down.

Hammouri added that a mechanism will be announced for granting permits in two days, referring to a study of the various sectors in case the epidemiological situation improves and in consultation with the Epidemiology Committee and the Ministry of Health to maintain the safety of citizens.
