Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, relevant teams agreed in principle to return operations of a number of productive and commercial sectors.
Dates for operations return for these sectors will be set this week, within a timetable, and after preparing guidelines that include safety and prevention instructions, and approving them from the Epidemiology Committee, Adaileh said in a briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management on Saturday evening.
He noted that the specialized teams held meetings since this morning to discuss many issues related to the impacts of the Coronavirus crisis, including procedures for operations return of some productive, service and commercial sectors, in addition to amending curfew procedures in governorates where no cases of Coronavirus were reported.
He added that the stock of strategic and basic commodities in the Kingdom is very good as the holy month of Ramadan is approaching, as well as the availability of commodities in safe quantities, indicating that the civil and military corporations and merchants in the governorates were provided with the commodities of the holy month.
Adaileh said: "We have witnessed an appreciated commitment from citizens to the instructions to full curfew on its second day", noting that the curfew will end at midnight, and citizens can go out at exactly 10am tomorrow, according to the previously announced mechanism.
Adaileh mentioned His Majesty King Abdullah's visit to the Amman Strategic Reserves Terminal for Petroleum Products at Al Madouneh area today, which was opened last year, stressing that this inspection visit comes within the framework of His Majesty's follow-up to all vital sectors during the Coronavirus crisis.
He added that the King directed the government to continue supplementing the strategic reserves of petroleum products, capitalising on the current in oil prices, and underscored the strategic value of Al Madouneh, calling for further investments in the area and an upgrade to its infrastructure, to turn it into an energy hub.
On the return of Jordanian students from abroad, Adaileh explained that the government receives inquiries and remarks, and deals with them, noting that identifying countries and categories of returning expatriates will be done after the registration of those wishing to return via the platform safelyhome.gov.jo, and according to criteria and priorities set by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in coordination with the Crisis Cell.
