250 samples of Covid-19 truck driver's contacts in Irbid collected

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The epidemiological investigation teams collected 250 samples from the Covid-19 infected truck driver's contacts in Irbid governorate and workers in the shopping stores in the neighboring residential area there.

In a statement to "Petra" on Wednesday, head of the epidemiological investigation teams in the northern governorate, Dr. Ali Zeitawi, said 25 investigative teams are working in the infected driver’s residence area in the northern city of Irbid.

During the next five hours, the results will emerge, adding five additional buildings were quarantined, bringing to seven the total number of apartment buildings lockeddown.

On the other hand, Director of the King Abdullah University Hospital, Mohammed Ghazou, announced five new Covid-19 recovered cases have been recorded today, and will be discharged from the hospital to enter into a home isolation for a period of 14 days, according to the health protocol in effect.

27 cases are still being treated in the hospital, including the four new cases, which are the truck driver and three people from his contacts, Ghazou.
