13-04-2020 10:23 AM

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Monday, becoming around their seasonal average and bringing spring-like and fair weather conditions in many parts of the Kingdom, except for the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea where it will be warm, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

The Department predicted relatively cold evening nationwide with clouds at various altitudes and a chance for spotty showers in the southern region including Aqaba city, while winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the southern and eastern areas.

Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 21 degrees Celsius in Amman, 17 in the northern cities and 18 in the southern governorates, dropping down to 10, 7 and 6 respectively at night. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 29 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 17, the JMD explained.

A further increase in mercury levels is forecast on Tuesday. Therefore, warm conditions will prevail nationwide with clouds at medium and high altitudes with a chance for intermittent rain in the southern and southeasterly parts of the country. Winds will be easterly to southeasterly moderate to brisk, stirring dust at times, the JMD added.

Wednesday is expected to bring in similar warm weather conditions with southwesterly to northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD noted.
