Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, bringing relatively cold weather in the hilly areas and the plains, and warm conditions in rest parts of the Kingdom, with low-altitude clouds and northwesterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
A further in mercury levels is forecast on Thursday, becoming 3-5 degrees below their annual average, but relatively cold conditions will remain in the mountainous areas, while it will be fair in the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD further added
Clouds at low altitudes are also forecast with a chance for light showers in the northern region.
The Kingdom will be affected on Friday by a wet and cold air mass, pushing thermometers down and bringing cold and partly cloudy weather with intermittent rain in the northern and central areas of the country. Winds will be westerly moderate to brisk at times, blowing dust in the Badia, the department said.
Maximum and minimum temperatures will hover between 18-7 degrees Celsius in Amman, 13-5 degrees in the northern cities and 15-6 in the southern governorates. In the port city of Aqaba, the weather will be hotter with highs reaching 27 and lows dropping to 16 degrees.
