Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, Tuesday, affirmed that the government had not yet taken a decision on neither when nor how long will the blanket curfew be, which is slated to be imposed within the next few days, to enable epidemiological investigation teams to do their work.
In a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM), Adaileh said that the government will announce the details of the curfew as soon as the decision is taken, denying rumors about imposing a three-day curfew as of Wednesday
The Minister reiterated that the government teams and the NCSCM's "Crisis Cell," under the Prime Ministers' supervision, monitor all observations and inquiries from both the people and institutions, without neglecting any.
He pointed out that the government is studying many things, chief of which are the continuity of education; work and working mechanisms during the month of Ramadan; and salaries of workers in the private sector, stressing that the government will announce its decisions on these issues as soon as possible.
He highlighted that the gradual return of some productive and services sectors is currently being studied by the ad hoc government bodies, after taking the necessary precautionary measures at the workplaces.
He pointed out that the government, stemming from its principle of transparency, is looking to provide the people with accurate information as soon as possible, saying: "This is what we strive to crystallize to the fullest extent; but sometimes providing accurate information may require time for investigating and examination."
He urged all COVID-19 patients, suspected of being infected, subject to quarantine, or those who had physical contact with cases, to adhere to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health to avoid legal accountability or expose others to health risks.
He also called on anyone who might have information about possible infections or who had made physical contact with an infected person to contact the Ministry of Health or the Civil Defense Directorate at (193), warning that those who fail to divulge these information will be held accountable, reiterating that being sick is not a "stigma."
