Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - State Minister for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, said Tuesday that security agencies are tracking individuals who flout self-quarantine regulations after their evacuation from hotels where they were held under mandatory quarantine for two weeks.

In a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, he vowed that those in violation of self-quarantine instructions will be held to account for their "irresponsible" bevaviour, which puts lives at risk.

"We have exerted every possible effort to protect your health and that of your loved ones, families and the society. The onus is on you to commit to self-quarantine," he said, stressing that violating stay-at-home instructions will pose a "real" risk to others.

He pointed out that the process to evacuate quarantined persons from hotels in Amman, Dead Sea and Aqaba is going smoothly.

Adaileh, who is also the government's official spokesperson, said that the work of government, military and private hospitals during the curfew is confined to receiving emergency cases and conducting emergency operations, adding that government health centers will only deliver medicine to homes, and that private clinics and laboratories are closed, with the exception of licensed emergency centers.

The minister also revealed that a group of banks, in cooperation with the Central Bank of Jordan, plan to dispatch mobile ATMs to villages and areas where they have no branches in response to observations that the government teams had received in this regard.

He reiterated that banks and exchange companies will open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., from Sunday to Thursday, calling on citizens to postpone any non-urgent banking transactions during the curfew and lauding their commitment to health safety regulations.
