182 vehicles impounded, 148 arrested for flouting curfew order

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Public Security Department (PSD) said Monday that 182 vehicles were impounded on Monday and 148 people were arrested for violating the curfew order.

The PSD media spokesperson said that the vehicles will be transferred to designated yards in Swaqa and Muwaqqar and that their owners will bear all the costs when receiving their vehicles after the month-long impoundment.

He also said that 148 people were arrested after being found in situations in violation of the movement ban, and thanked the "committed majority" that heeded the order and those who helped public security personnel in the line of duty.

The spokesman reiterated that there will be no tolerance with those who violate or disregard of the citizens' security and safety regulations, and will be dealt with firmly to deter them from violating the Defence Order.
