Razzaz issues Defense Order No. 3: financial penalties for curfew violators

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister, Dr. Omar Razzaz, on Thursday issued Defense Order No. 3 of 2020.
As per the order, whoever violates Defense Order No. (2) that imposed curfew will be fined no less than JD100 and not more than JD500 if the violation was for the first time, and the prosecution does not take place if the violator paid the minimum amount of the fine within a week from the date of the violation.
The order also imprisoned the violator for a period not exceeding a year or a fine of no less than JD100 and not exceeding JD500, or both penalties in the event of repetition.
The order also contained seizing the vehicle used during the curfew for a 30 day period.
The order also fined opening groceries and shops for authorized people outside the permitted hours shall be punished with a fine of no less than JD1000 and the closing of the shop for a 14 day period.
The order also fined opening unauthorized groceries and shops shall be punished with detention for a period not exceeding (3) months or a fine of JD3000, or both penalties.
