Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Talk of coronavirus patients’ recovery might seem premature, spokesman of the National Epidemiological Committee, Nazir Obaidat, told the Jordan News Agency.
In a statement on Wednesday, Obaidat said patients in Prince Hamzah and King Abdullah University Hospitals tested negative for the virus, but this result is not decisive about the full recovery.
He added that a special criteria must be achieved to determine the recovered cases, noting that a second laboratory test shall be conducted not less than 48 hours after the initial one that reported the recovery.
"If the second test was also negative, patients will have an accurate computed tomography (CT) scan for the lungs to indicate any clinical changes and determine if they are fully recovered from the virus" he added.
