Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - State Minister for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, on Monday, announced that pharmacies and bakeries will open as of Tuesday but will not sell directly to citizens, explaining that drug and bread supplies will be solely delivered by municipalities, water distribution companies and other partners.
Adaileh, who is also government spokesperson, said the nationwide curfew, now in its third day, will continue until further notice, adding that the staples that will be home delivered to citizens will be limited to bread, medicines, infant formula and bottled drinking water.
"The curfew will continue until further notice, and we, as announced earlier, must prepare ourselves for a difficult stage," he stressed.
The minister said the government is mulling additional mechanisms to deliver other basic supplies and foodstuffs to citizens and will be announced by the end of this week. Moreover, Adaileh said a call center dedicated for receiving feedback on the new delivery mechanisms will be launched very soon.
