Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A tangible rise in temperatures is expected on Monday, becoming around their annual average and bringing pleasant weather conditions in most parts of the Kingdom, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
In the afternoon, clouds will appear at various attitudes with a chance for spotty showers and southeasterly to southwesterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
Similar fair weather conditions are expected to prevail on Tuesday with southwesterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust in the southern and eastern regions, the JMD noted.
A further rise in mercury levels is expected on Wednesday, marking 3-4 degrees above their seasonal average. Therefore, spring-like weather conditions will prevail nationwide with clouds at various altitudes.
In the evening, chances of scattered rain are forecast in various areas of the country, accompanied by thunder at times, while winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk, stirring dust in the southern and eastern regions, the JMD further said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 19 degrees Celsius in Amman and 15 in the northern cities, dropping down to 10 and 7 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 26 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 17.
