Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Temperatures are expected to slightly rise on Sunday, but will remain 4-5 degrees below their annual average as cold weather prevail in most parts of the Kingdom, except for the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley where it is expected to be relatively warm.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), a further rise in mercury levels is forecast on Monday, becoming around their seasonal average and bringing pleasant conditions in most regions, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Clouds will appear at various attitudes with a chance of local showers in various areas, the JMD added.
Spring-like weather conditions are forecast on Tuesday in many parts of the country, with the exception of the Jordan valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be warmer, with clouds at various altitudes, the Department noted.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 13 degrees Celsius in Amman, 9 in the northern cities and in 8 southern highlands, dropping down to 5, 3 and 1 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 21 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 13.
