Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The government has decided to impose a curfew in Jordan, as part of its measures to fight coronavirus.
Citizens will be officially banned from moving in all regions of the Kingdom, from 7:00 am tomorrow, until further notice.
As he announced the Defence Order No.2 during a press briefing today, Minister of State for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh pointed out that all the stores in all regions of the Kingdom will be closed.
However, the government will announce on Tuesday, March 24, specific times for people to get their needs within a mechanism that will be announced at that time.
"Anyone who violates the provisions of this Order and the measures issued by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence shall be liable to immediate imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year," Adaileh confirmed.
As for the emergency medical cases, citizens must inform the Public Security Directorate (PSD) or the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) to take the necessary measures to protect their health and safety according to the rules.
People authorized by the PM and the Minister of Defense, based on their work nature, are excluded from the decision.
