Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Mayor of Amman, Yousef Shawarbeh, said the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has increased its sterilization materials in warehouses and its various public facilities.
During his follow-up on to the GAM's on Thursday, he said all the capabilities of the Amman Municipality are harnessed to help address the the cornonavirus crisis.
Shawarbeh also said the GAM works alongside the government and all state institutions as handle "this exceptional circumstance."
On the GAM's field cadres, he said its environmental and health sectors' workers are on-duty 100% to face the coronacrisis.
100 teams belonging to the disease control department work daily, with a human cadre of up to 400 workers distributed to sterilize the city, including the hospitals' entrances, health centers, shopping centers, public parks and other facilities that may witness crowding, he announced.
Shawarbeh said 4 specialized and trained teams were formed to implement sterilization campaigns in all regions of the capital within the international standards, using chemicals approved by the Ministry of Health, with advanced mechanisms and equipment, taking into account maintaining the health and safety of workers, as they wear a protective gear.
