Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army on Thursday published a list of entities and persons who will exempt from an earlier decision restricting the movement and mobility of people as part of efforts to curb the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The list includes the following:
First: The industrial and commercial sectors:
1- Food supply chains including mills, bakeries, poultry, meat, dairy, foodstuff, vegetable, fruit and water stores.
2- Distribution and transportation companies of foodstuffs, vegetables and fruits.
3- Manufacture of human and veterinary drugs, pesticides, medical supplies and drug stores.
4- Hygiene Industry.
5- Manufacture of detergents and sterilizers.
6- Packaging sector, plastic and aluminum required for foodstuffs, agricultural, pharmaceutical and detergents.
Second: The water sector:
1- Water companies (Yarmouk, Miyahuna, Aqaba)
2- Operation and maintenance of Al-Samra station.
3- Disi water conveyor project.
4- Wadi Araba project.
Third: The energy sector:
1- All electric power generation and distribution companies, with a minimum staff to maintain the work.
2- The Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company, natural gas filling centers, oil derivative marketing companies and fuel stations.
3- Jordanian Egyptian Fajr for Natural Gas Transmission and Supply.
4- Technical Company for Gas Lines Operation Services.
5- National Gas Industries Company.
6- Transport vehicles operating on public oil transportation, oil derivatives and retail gas sales centers of all kinds.
Fourth: The agricultural sector:
1- Importers, exporters and sellers of agricultural materials and livestock production.
2- Filling stations, grading and storage.
3- Merchants and traders of agricultural products in the central markets and retail stores working in the sale of animal and vegetable products.
4- The owners of farms and agricultural workers at production and work areas.
5- Vehicles loaded in agricultural and animal products and their production supplies.
6- Veterinary clinics and pharmacies.
Fifth: Logistics Services:
1- Logistics services companies, including navigation and air transport agents, clearance companies, commercial freight forwarding, distribution, loading and unloading, transportation management and regulation companies, and at a minimum to sustain the work.
2- Security and Protection.
Sixth: Communications and Information Technology Sector:
1- Telecommunications companies with a minimum number of employees to sustain their work.
2- Call center employees, to ensure the sustainability of service provision, provided that at least 50 percent of them do their work from home by the end of the 18-03-2020 and 100 percent by the end of the 22-03-2020.
3- Companies maintaining the distance learning platform (Idrak, Mawdoo3, Abwab and Jo Academy).
4 - The rest of the employees in the communications and information technology companies (not mentioned above) are required to work from home and according to the decisions and directives of their departments to determine who should come to the companies ’departments and who has to work from home.
Seventh: The Media Sector:
Private media, including newspapers, registered news websites, TV stations, radio channels, representative offices of foreign media operating in Jordan, and media services offices. The staff of these entities can work and move at minimum.
Eighth: The Judicial Council:
Judges and prosecutors holding identification cards issued by the Judicial Council.
Ninth: The Banking Sector:
Exclusively and to the minimum necessary to sustain the work.
Tenth: Greater Amman Municipality employees:
GAM staff and vehicles to sustain work.
These moves come in implementation of the Cabinet Resolution issued on 17-03-2020, which includes taking a number of precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of the new Corona virus.
