Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The weather will be cold and partly cloudy on Sunday, with spotty showers in the northern parts of the Kingdom and southeasterly light to moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Cold weather will continue on Monday in most areas of the country, except for the Dead Sea and the Aqaba, with clouds at various altitudes, intermittent rain and easterly to northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
In the evening, the Kingdom will be affected by weather instability, bringing heavy downpour in some southern regions, accompanied by thunder and hail during night and causing floods in valleys and low-lying areas, the JMD predicted.
Tuesday is expected to bring in similar weather conditions, with rainfall in various areas that may turn heavy, accompanied by thunder and hail at times in the southern and eastern regions, and forming flash floods, JMD further said.
The highs today will reach 12 degrees Celsius in Amman, 9 in the northern region and 11 in the southern highlands, sliding down to 7, 5 and 4 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 24 degrees dropping down to 13 at night, the JMD added.
