Interior minister, Saudi envoy discuss cooperation prospects

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Interior, Salama Hammad, on Thursday, discussed with the Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Nayef bin Bandar Sudairi, the aspects of bilateral cooperation, especially in the security and police fields.
During the meeting, Hammad lauded the ties as "deep-rooted, longstanding," which are "developing day after day," thanks to the support of the two countries' leaderships and their keenness in "institutionalizing" them in various fields in a manner that guarantees achieving their mutual interests.
Hammad also hailed Saudi Arabia's supportive role, which is continuously sustained in various fields, adding this support comes within the framework of bilateral "historic" relations and reflects the common visions and views towards the various issues and challenges facing the Arab and Islamic nations.
The region's conditions, he affirmed, require maintaining coordination and consultation to preserve the Middle East stability and shun it further challenges and difficulties that may arise in the absence of activating joint Arab action and pan-Arab cooperation.
To achieve this bid, the minister stressed the necessity of reviving security cooperation between Jordan and Saudi Arabia in the fields of training and borders protection and monitoring to prevent any security breaches that may occur, as well as exchanging expertise between the two sides.
For his part, the Saudi ambassador stressed the need to orchestrate efforts, especially in the security aspects and the expertise exchange in a way that achieve security and stability in the two countries and the region.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to sustain coordination and consultation and activate the joint partnership relations in various fields.
