Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Tuesday, but chilly weather conditions will continue to prevail nationwide with low-altitude clouds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
The weather will be partly cloudy in the evening with light showers in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom, the JMD predicted, noting that winds will be southwesterly.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach a high of 8 degrees Celsius in Amman, 4 in the northern cities and hover around 5 in southern regions, dropping down at night to 4, 1 and 0 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 19 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 12, the JMD explained.
Cold conditions will remain in most regions on Wednesday, despite slight increase in mercury levels, with the exception of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, where the weather will be fair. Low clouds with light rain are also forecast in the northern areas and winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, the department further said.
Temperatures will continue to rise on Thursday, becoming around their annual average and similar cold weather will prevail in most parts of the country, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the JMD added.
