The military source added that the rules of engagement were applied, after the border guards spotted the suspects, resulting in their retreat to Syria. After searching the area, around 805 palm-sized sheets of hashish were seized and referred to the concerned authorities, the source added.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The eastern military command, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), foiled an attempt to smuggle an amount of drugs into the Kingdom from Syria, a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army source said on Friday.

The military source added that the rules of engagement were applied, after the border guards spotted the suspects, resulting in their retreat to Syria.
