Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Monday, with cold conditions to prevail in most parts of the Kingdom, except for the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, where the weather is expected to be fair, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) forecast.
The JMD warned of frost and freeze formation in the late night hours in the highlands and the Badia regions.
Tuesday is expected to bring in similar weather with southeasterly light winds changing to northwesterly, the JMD said, adding low-altitude clouds will start to build up at night with a chance of light showers in the northern regions.
Partly cloudy and cold conditions are forecast on Wednesday with a chance of scattered rain in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom. Winds will be westerly moderate, the JMD noted.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 14 degrees Celsius in Amman, 10 in the northern cities and 9 in the southern governorates, dropping down at night to 5, 2 and -1 degrees respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 19 degrees and lows standing at 10 at night, the JMD noted.
