Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament, Atef Tarawneh, on Thursday condemned an Israeli announcement of seven new nature reserves and the expansion of 12 existing ones in the occupied West Bank
In a statement issued by the Arab Parliamentary Union, Tarawneh pointed out that the Israeli decision is intended to further establish the fait accompli policy that the Israeli occupation authorities have been trying to impose since 1948 on the Arab lands of Palestine.
He warned of the consequences of the unilateral decisions and measures of the Israeli occupation authorities and their illegal practices, describing the natural reserves' decision as infamous in form and content and reminded the whole world that the Israeli occupation authorities have refused since the occupation of Palestine in 1948, to respond to the will of the international community and the relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
Tarawneh appealed to the international community, parliaments and countries of the whole world to adhere to the principles of international law and international legitimacy resolutions, as a single way to compel Israel to implement international legitimacy resolutions.
