Jordan is keen on Iraq's security, stability says Senate President

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Senate President, Faisal Al-Fayez, affirmed Jordan’s keenness, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Iraq's security, stability, territorial integrity and cohesion of its people.

In a meeting, held Sunday with Iraq's Ambassador to Jordan Haider Mansour Al-Athari, Al-Fayez said Jordan is confident that Iraq will overcome its current challenges, indicating that Jordan, in light of its existing strategic relations with Iraq, is ready to provide assistance and support to enable it to address the challenges facing it.

He underlined the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Iraq on various levels, reaffirming Jordan's full readiness to contribute to the reconstruction process in Iraq, with the support of qualified national cadres in various fields, and leading Jordanian companies in various sectors.

The Senate President called for continuing efforts of both countries in the war on terrorism and its various organizations, and the need to build on the existing ties between the two countries in various fields, especially political, economic and security, as well as continuing efforts to build a strategic economic partnership between Amman and Baghdad.

The Iraqi Ambassador lauded Jordan's role in standing with Iraq and supporting its stability, security and territorial integrity, commending King Abdullah's continued efforts to bring peace and stability to the region.
